How to block Polymarket and Kalshi
Gambling self-exclusion does not reach prediction markets, and your bank's gambling block will not stop the deposit. Here is what actually works, in about three minutes.

Self-exclusion does not apply
Polymarket and Kalshi are regulated as financial markets, not as gambling. GamStop and state self-exclusion bind licensed bookmakers, so neither one reaches them.
Your bank block will not catch it
Card gambling blocks decline gambling merchants. These deposits arrive by bank transfer, wire and crypto, so there is nothing for the block to decline.
You can undo anything you set up
Phone settings and browser extensions come off in thirty seconds, and the urge arrives at exactly the moment you want them off.
So the block has to be one you cannot lift on your own.

Block the sites on your phone

Close the two accounts
An account that is closed cannot be reopened on impulse. Both take a few minutes.
Request voluntary self-exclusion for a fixed term on kalshi.com or in the Kalshi app. Close your open positions first, because you cannot sell them during the exclusion period.
Polymarket publishes no self-exclusion process, so deletion is the route. Close every position, withdraw every token, then delete the account in settings. If that is blocked, email support@polymarket.com and ask for permanent closure with no reactivation.
Tell one person
This is the step people skip, and the one that decides whether the rest holds. Give someone the PIN and add their email as your sponsor. You are not relying on willpower at 2 a.m. any more. You are relying on not wanting that email to go out.

Quick answers
Does GamStop or my state self-exclusion cover Polymarket?
No. Those programmes bind licensed gambling operators, and prediction markets are not licensed as gambling operators. Register anyway to close the sportsbook door, then block the prediction markets separately.
Can I just use my phone's built-in settings?
